OutNow is now Releasify.me
Initially, Releasify was called OutNow and was created as a hack during the MIDEM Music Hack Day on my laptop where it was initially a proof of concept; a site that could demonstrate how the music industry could be using the wealth of music information available via open APIs to build interesting sites rapidly and for very low cost.

After presenting the hack, people really seemed to like it and, in the days that followed, I received a lot of emails from people asking me when they could play with it and if it would be available as a website people could use.
So, that’s what it’s going to be, in just a few days time the alpha version will be live, offering what I consider to be the base features that make it usable but not a whole lot more fun than it was when it just ran on my laptop.
I plan to change that. Over the next few months I’ll be adding more features that will hopefully make Releasify a great new release notification service that continues to maximise as much open data as it can to keep people up to date with what new music they might like and most importantly where they can gett hold of it legally in file or streaming form.
The plan is to document the process as I go, and to try not to dither about getting it out there. Hold tight.
